By accessing or using ToolBase at toolbase.work ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
ToolBase provides a collection of free, browser-based utility tools including (but not limited to): a number-to-words converter, age calculator, word counter, date difference calculator, and percentage calculator. The Service is provided free of charge and supported by advertising.
3. Use of the service
You may use ToolBase for personal, educational, and commercial purposes, subject to the following restrictions. You may not:
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service at a rate that would impose unreasonable load on our infrastructure
- Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content
- Reproduce or redistribute the Service or its design as your own without permission
4. Accuracy and disclaimer
ToolBase tools are designed to be accurate for general everyday use. However, we make no guarantees of accuracy for professional, legal, financial, or medical applications. Results should be independently verified before being used in any high-stakes context.
In particular:
- Number-to-words results should be verified before use on legal documents or cheques.
- Age and date calculations assume Gregorian calendar conventions and may differ from other calendar systems.
- Percentage calculations are mathematical only and do not constitute financial advice.
5. Intellectual property
The ToolBase name, logo, design, and code are the intellectual property of ToolBase. The content of individual tool result outputs (e.g. "one thousand two hundred fifty") is factual in nature and not subject to copyright.
The educational content on each tool page (explanations, FAQs, examples) is © ToolBase and may not be reproduced without permission.
6. Advertising
ToolBase displays advertisements through Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that advertisements may be shown. Advertisers are responsible for the content of their ads; ToolBase is not liable for advertiser content.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ToolBase and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
8. Availability
We strive to keep ToolBase available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time without notice for maintenance, updates, or any other reason.
9. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ToolBase operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11. Privacy and data
Your use of ToolBase is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Most ToolBase tools process your data entirely within your browser — your text, numbers, and images are not sent to our servers. The Grammar Checker is an exception: it sends your text to a third-party grammar analysis service to perform its function. That service does not retain your text. By using the Grammar Checker you acknowledge this transmission.
12. Third-party services
ToolBase uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own terms and privacy policies:
- Google AdSense — serves advertisements on the site.
- Google Analytics — collects anonymous usage statistics.
- LanguageTool API — powers the Grammar Checker. Text submitted is processed under LanguageTool's own terms of service.
- Tesseract.js — powers the Screenshot to Document tool. This library runs entirely in your browser; no image data is transmitted externally.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ToolBase to process unlawful, harmful, or defamatory content; to attempt unauthorised access to the Service or its systems; to use automated scrapers or bots to extract content at scale; or to interfere with the Service's availability or performance. Any use that violates applicable local, national, or international law is prohibited.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining Terms will continue in full force and effect.
15. Entire agreement
These Terms of Service, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and ToolBase regarding the Service. They supersede all prior agreements, proposals, or representations concerning the subject matter.
